Terms of Service
Effective Date: September 8, 2026 • Last Revised: September 2026
Welcome to Church AI. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Church AI's website, live broadcasting software, congregation reader tools, and real-time translation platform (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, launching a live sermon broadcast, or accessing our tools, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1Description of the Service
Church AI provides church congregations, ministries, and religious non-profit organizations with a specialized live multilingual sermon translation and assistive listening platform. The Service includes:
- Broadcaster Studio: Ingesting spoken audio from sanctuary soundboards and microphones for live speech-to-text.
- Theological Translation Engine: Real-time contextual translation into 50+ languages with scripture citation awareness and custom ministerial glossaries.
- Congregant Web Viewer: Frictionless mobile browser access via QR codes with real-time text captions and synthesized audio playback for earbuds.
- Sanctuary Display & OBS Overlays: Chroma-key and lower-third projection feeds for sanctuary TVs, projectors, and live stream broadcasts.
2Church Content Ownership & Intellectual Property
Your church retains complete, exclusive intellectual property rights, copyright, and ownership over all sermon audio, preaching content, transcripts, ministerial writings, and theology delivered through Church AI.
Church AI does NOT claim ownership of your sermon content. You grant Church AI only the limited, non-exclusive license necessary to process, transcribe, and translate your audio in real time solely to fulfill the Service during your broadcast sessions.
3AI Translation & Theological Disclaimer
Church AI utilizes real-time neural speech recognition and theological language models engineered specifically for church sanctuary acoustics, pulpits, and biblical terminology. However, as with all automated artificial intelligence systems:
Live automated translations and transcripts are provided for real-time accessibility, community inclusion, and conversational understanding. They should not be considered authoritative, canonical, or certified doctrinal records of your ecclesiastical teaching. Churches are encouraged to use our Sermon Glossary feature to prime pastor names and key scripture passages for maximum fidelity.
4Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to misuse the Church AI platform. Specifically, you agree that you will not:
- Use the Service to transmit hate speech, unlawful harassment, defamatory material, or malicious audio.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or extract source code or underlying neural model pipelines.
- Exceed the fair-use session limits of your active subscription tier through automated artificial traffic or bot abuse.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the servers, WebSockets, or third-party infrastructure.
5Subscriptions, Billing & Cancellations
Church AI is billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis depending on your selected tier (Starter, Growth, or Pro).
- Billing Provider: Payments are processed securely via Square. We do not store full credit card numbers on Church AI servers.
- Cancel Anytime: You may cancel or pause your subscription at any time via the Church Admin Billing Portal. When canceled, your subscription remains active through the end of the current billing cycle.
- Free Trials: If your church enrolls in an introductory trial, you will not be charged until the trial period expires.
- Refunds: Because real-time computing and translation resources are consumed dynamically during live broadcasts, fees are generally non-refundable. However, our ministry support team will gladly review unexpected technical disruptions on a case-by-case basis.
6Service Availability & Live Broadcast Reliability
We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime for Sunday worship gatherings and mid-week services. However, live broadcast translation performance depends on local church factors beyond our direct control, including your sound booth laptop internet speed, local Wi-Fi stability, and soundboard input audio clarity.
Church AI provides automated reconnect mechanisms and resilient streaming fallbacks, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service in the event of local ISP outages or venue network failures.
7Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Church AI, its founders, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including any temporary broadcast interruption during a church service.
